Solo 401k Reporting Requirements
You may have to file an annual return/report form by the last day of the 7th month after the Solo 401k plan year ends.
Form 5500-EZ. You use Form 5500-EZ since your plan is a one-participant plan (Solo 401k), as defined below.
One-participant plan. Your Solo 401k plan is a one-participant plan if either of the following is true.
Form 5500-EZ not required. If your Solo 401k plan had total assets of $250,000 or less at the end of the plan year, then you do not have to file Form 5500-EZ for the plan year. All Solo 401k Plans should file a Form 5500-EZ for the final plan year to show that all plan assets have been distributed.
Solo 401k Provider. Your Solo 401k Provider should be able file Form 5500-EZ for you or at least assist you in filling it out.

Form 5500-EZ. You use Form 5500-EZ since your plan is a one-participant plan (Solo 401k), as defined below.

- The plan covers only you (or you and your spouse) and you (or your and your spouse) own the entire business (whether incorporated or unincorporated).
